Adventure Gems has a world wide network of gem hunters, mining operators and managers, and international gem trade contacts that assist in our locating the right rough material for creating the perfect gem jewelry for your needs. We have contacts for rough and cut gemstones from all over the world, including East Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Madagascar, Zambia, South Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, Afghanistan, Brazil, Columbia, and Uruguay.
Our home website (www.adventuregems.biz) has multiple education modules for the gem/jewelry buyer. We strongly recommend that you review the pages entitled "Gems As Superior Investments," and "Gemstone Buyers Guide." Regarding gems and jewelry as investments, it is widely know that many people's wealth is held in the form of jewelry.
Interestingly, AJS has recently researched and published a listing of the top 10 investment gems for the next 5-10 years. These include, from top to bottom: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Spinel, Tsavorite, Spessartite (aka Spessartine), Alexandrite, Jadeite Jade, Imperial (orange) Topaz, and Paraiba Tourmaline. Regarding the latter two, we believe that all of the Paraiba colored stones (sea blue-green), e.g. Paraiba Topaz, Paraiba Apatite, etc, will go up in price along with Paraiba Tournaline. Likewise, "Imperial" colored stones (orangey-red; AKA Podparadsha) such as Orange spinel, orange sapphire, etc will track the rising prices of Imperial Topaz (*). Many of these gems are available in jewelry in our stores.
Runners up in the recommended gem investment list include: Tanzanite, Aquamarine, Demantoid Garnet, Purple Garnet, and Red Tourmaline.
*Note: We are not registered investment advisors; we are Gem Cutters/Traders and Jewelers who are simply providing educational information and providing our clients and customers with others' estimations of future stone values. Consult your investment advisor for financial decisions. That being said, you can't wear stocks, bonds, ETFs or CDs, but you can wear your wealth in a beautiful and exotic form: investment grade gem jewelry. Also remember the old saying "If you can't wear it, Do you really own it?"
In addition to investment grade gem jewelry, we have a variety of less expensive jewelry options in all categories, especially the Exotic/Mystical line. Items in this line include semi-precious gem jewelry, pendants for use in rituals for self protection and facilitation of one's goals. We also have many items that are simply interesting due to unusual and unique appearance or legendary histories. If your ritual or mystical needs and/or mystical interests lie outside of what you see in our e-store, please contact us and tell us what you need. We will very likely be able to accommodate you, and we will get back to you with piece sketches, gemstone photos, and a price for your prospective item, as soon as we can.
Check back on our ETSY stores often, as our inventory is constantly turning over and new items, in all price ranges, are being continuously added.
